About Us

Our Mission

The Sanctuary of Plant City (TSOPC) is dedicated to sharing the love of Christ with our community and the world. We believe in creating a welcoming environment where individuals and families can grow in their faith, find meaningful community, and experience the transformative power of Jesus.

What We Believe

We are a Bible-believing church that stands on the foundational truths of scripture. Our core tenets revolve around love, grace, and the pursuit of a Christ-centered life. We invite everyone to explore faith with us, no matter where you are on your spiritual journey.

Our Belief in Salvation

We believe that salvation is the gift of God, made possible through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. On the Day of Pentecost, when the people asked the apostles what they must do to be saved, Peter gave a clear and unchanging answer:

"Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost."

Acts 2:38 (KJV)

We embrace this Apostolic message as God's plan of salvation for every person, the new birth of water and Spirit that Jesus spoke of in John 3:5. It unfolds in three steps:

  1. Repentance: turning away from sin with a sincere heart and turning toward God.
  2. Water Baptism: by full immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
  3. The Gift of the Holy Ghost: being filled with God's Spirit, with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:4).

This same promise is for you and your family. Wherever you are on your journey, we would be honored to walk alongside you and help you take your next step toward Christ.

The Commission

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He gave His followers a clear and final charge, one that still defines who we are and what we do today:

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."

Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV)

We take this Great Commission personally. Jesus holds all authority, and He sends us out with both a mission and a promise. It shapes everything we do as a church:

  1. Go: to reach our city and the world, meeting people right where they are.
  2. Make disciples: leading people to faith, baptism, and a transformed life.
  3. Teach them to obey: helping every believer grow deep in God's Word.
  4. "I am with you always": we go in His authority and presence, never alone.

This is our calling, and there's a place in it for you. Wherever you are on your journey, we invite you to join us in making His name known.
